The guernsey sweater, which originated in the Guernsey Islands for fishermen, has evolved into a minimalist driver's knit for drivers.
Both items have clear histories and rules, but this high-neck zip-up knit deliberately ignores those rules and is designed solely for the purpose of fusing details, ignoring theory.
The guernsey sweater's symmetry and lack of shoulder slope are completely ignored. Pockets, which are not necessary for drivers' jackets, are added, and the tight-fitting silhouette is redesigned into a modern oversized style.
The long neck can be opened to create a sailor collar. If closed and folded back, it becomes a voluminous turtleneck. In addition, it can be created in various ways depending on how open the zipper is and how you fold the collar.
Although the designs break from the rules, they are harmoniously balanced to create a new category of knitwear.
The cuffs have thumb holes inspired by Swedish military knitwear. When you don't want your thumbs sticking out, you can fold them back to make them regular cuffs, so they don't get in the way of your styling.
This is a new knit style proposed by SUBLATIONS that is also washable so you can hand wash it at home.

[Material characteristics]

The raw material is mainly extra fine merino wool from Uruguay.
All processes, including spinning and dyeing, are carried out in Japan to turn the yarn into finished yarn.
Merino wool is a high-grade fiber with fine fibers that give it good color and a glossy appearance, as well as a soft, moist texture that is comfortable to wear and creates a beautiful silhouette.
In addition, the wool is harvested from sheep that are raised without using a method known as mulesing, which harms the sheep, and is produced with environmental considerations in mind.
And because the raw wool has been treated to prevent shrinkage, it can be hand washed, making it easier to handle than conventional knit products.
