This sleeveless hoodie is inspired by vintage cut-and-sew tops that have been self-cut and remade into a sleeveless top, like those worn by street kids overseas.
The garments are dyed and destroyed to give them a vintage look at a factory in Okayama that is also used by overseas fashion houses.
Contrary to the realistic vintage processing, the hood stands up nicely thanks to the thick sweatshirt fabric, making it extremely comfortable to wear.
The wide armholes make this a great piece for layering in the summer.
[Material characteristics]
This sweatshirt fabric is made from American cotton spun in Japan.
This is a thick, sturdy fleece that is reminiscent of the fabric used by major vintage sweatshirt manufacturers.
It comes in two colors: Rusty Black, a realistic faded black that resembles red rust, and Fade Blue, a pale blue-grey that will appeal to vintage clothing lovers.
