[Item description]
A Gandhi sweater for fishermen born in the Gandhi Islands, and a minimalist driver's knit for drivers. Both items have a clear history and rules, but this is a high neck zip-up knit that defies theory and was designed with the sole purpose of merging the details, ignoring those rules.
The front-back symmetry and lack of shoulder slope of the Gandhi sweater are completely ignored. The tight-fitting silhouette has been redesigned into a modern, oversized design with the addition of an unnecessary pocket on the driver's jacket.
The long neck can be opened to create a sailor collar. Close it and fold it back to create a voluminous turtleneck. In addition, various expressions can be created depending on how the zip is opened and how the collar is folded.
Although these designs deviate from the rules, they harmonize with each other in exquisite balance, creating a new category of knitwear.
The cuffs have thumbholes inspired by Swedish military knits. When you don't have your thumbs out, you can fold it back to create a regular cuff and it won't interfere with your styling.
This is a new knit style proposed by SUBLATIONS, which is also washable so you can wash it by hand at home.


[Material characteristics]
The raw material is wool, mainly extra fine merino from Uruguay.
All processes such as spinning and dyeing are performed in Japan to create yarn.
Because merino wool has thin fibers, it is a high-grade fiber with good color development, a glossy feel, and a soft, moist texture that is comfortable to wear and creates a beautiful silhouette.
In addition, it is produced in an environmentally friendly manner, using wool that is shorn from sheep that have been raised without using a process called mulesing that harms the sheep.
Also, because the raw wool is pre-shrunk, it can be washed by hand and is easier to handle than traditional knit products.
